We haven't seen each other for more than a year. Seeing some of you having achieved your goal and some of you still working hard to pursue your dream, I feel extremely proud of everyone.
Thank you for your treat and hope that we can have next gathering very soon.
I went to watch Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix yesterday. In order to get the best seats, I had to book the ticket 3 weeks in advance.
Watching this movie was one of the two activities I longed for after the New York trip. To my great disappointment, neither the movie nor the 3D effect was satisfactory.

I don't know why I chose to visit the Statue of Liberty on a Saturday morning. When we arrived at the Battery Park, there was already a long queue. It took us about 2 hours to get on board of the ferry.

Of course, there was no way that you could find a seat on the ferry. When we saw long queues again on Liberty Island, my colleague and I decided not set our foot on the Island. We just took pictures from the ferry.

Visiting the United Nations and watching Beauty and the Beast were our itinerary today.
First, we went to have our breakfast and last preparation before we went to the UN. Yes, preparation. My colleague told me that UN has its own Post Office and stamps, so we decided to send some postcards there. We took about one and a half hour to finish our breakfast, eating only occupied about 15 minutes.

When we arrived, we had to go inside a tent and go through all the standard security procedures, like having your bag x-rayed and you going through the metal detector. People carrying backpacks and big bags cannot enter the building unless they let the security keep them for you.

Once we got inside, there was something that interested us.

Today, I did both what I must do in New York.

We walked down the Fifth Avenue from 57th Street. The first store we visited is the Apple Store.

Tonight was my first night experiencing the night life of New Yorkers. My colleague and I went to see the musical “A Chorus Line”.

The plot is about a group of dancers audition for a new Broadway show. All of them have only one dream - get a job as a dancer. The story tells the laughter, sweat, and tears of these dancers. The singing of the performers was excellent and the dancing was fantastic as well. However, compared with the classics “Les Miserables” and “The Phantom of the Opera”, it seemed a bit short. It only lasts for two hours and there is no intermission.
If you buy the programme of this musical, you can have a free bag.

The red one is the programme and the small one is given for free when the usher leads you to your seat.
Life starts after the musicals.
