I don't know why I chose to visit the Statue of Liberty on a Saturday morning.  When we arrived at the Battery Park, there was already a long queue.  It took us about 2 hours to get on board of the ferry.

Of course, there was no way that you could find a seat on the ferry.  When we saw long queues again on Liberty Island, my colleague and I decided not set our foot on the Island.  We just took pictures from the ferry.

When we were back at Battery Park, we saw two guys dress up like the Statue of Liberty.  They welcome you to take pictures with them if you make a donation.

Actually, there are a lot of people performing different things in the park.  It is a way for them to earn some money.  They won't push you to pay.  You can put money into their money box if you appreciate their performance.

Our next stop was the Wall Street.  The photo below was taken near the end of the Wall Street.

The Trump Building on 40th Wall Street.

The statue of George Washington outside the Federal Hall.

The New York Stock Exchange.

Ground Zero was our last stop today.  It's really sad to see the site of the ex-World Trade Centre.

You can also find different kinds of memorials near the site.

In the American Express building, there is also a fountain dedicated to the 11 employees died in the 911 attack in 2001.

If you have time, I strongly recommend you to take a tour organised by the Tribute WTC Visitor Center.  The tour lasts for about 1 hour and 15 minutes.

There will be a person showing you places around the WTC and explaining to you what happened on and after the day of attack.  All the people who lead the tour are directely related to the 911 incident.  They may be the fire fighters who were involved in the rescue, survivors of the attack, evacuees, etc.  Near the end of the tour, they will share with you their own story and how their life changes after the attack.

Mia is the person who leads our tour.  She was a volunteer and she arrived at the site on 912 to deliver supplies to the rescue team.

After the tour, don't forget to go back into the Tribute WTC Visitor Center.  You sure don't want to miss the gallery inside.

You will find there are two adjacent walls showing the victims of the attack.

There were also missing persons whose bodies have not yet been found.
